What a great description of a journey on Hindenburg. May I reprint it on my zeppelin history website, at the section about the Hindenburg: http://www.airships.net/hindenburg ?

What a treasure. Thanks for sharing it with us. I love to read of the adventures our grandparents generations experienced. My grandpa was the team doctor for a major league baseball team back in the 30′s and now I treasure the stories he told of people who are now legends!

I absolutely loved reading this moment in history so beautifully written. Just can’t wait to see photos. I felt as though I was on board the Hindenburg myself with the description of the interior rooms. What a grand gift to have this diary. Thank you so much for sharing a part of your family’s history.

This was great! I started school this week and my fourth graders had to write a “journal” entry. What a wonderful example! Thanks for sharing.

Wow, what a wonderful piece of history! It kind of reminds me that I should put more of the “mundune” details of life in writing. It is so interesting reading about a diferent era, and learning all the detail.

Reading this story was so interesting. You are so fortunate to have this. It brought back to me many memories. We lived in Stratford, New Jersey for two years so many of the places mentioned are familiar to me. The descriptions your grandfather gave really bring the airship to life.

What a great treasure. So many adventures in this one trip and great writing style. Cool also that I’m visiting Halifax right now and they passed by. Sometimes forget how Halifax was a major stopping point back then.
