All You Need is Love

Welcome!!

Welcome to what has been countless hours and planning for our new home here.  I hope you like it.  Everything new that you see was thought up my me, but executed by my incredibly talented blog guru Kathy Moore of The Blog Shoppe.  She made this wordpress blog completely unrecognizable (in a good way)…no…in a GREAT way!  Thank you so much Kathy for all of your tireless hard work and professionalism throughout this process.  She met every single need I had and I greatly appreciate her for it! A few things are different.  The comments are at teh BOTTOM of the post now (yay), and the typeface is so much nicer and larger!  Also there is still a bit of construction going on in the sidebar which should be all taken care of within a couple of days.  So please bear with me.  Psss…wait til everything loads and then scroll over the birds on the header ;)

A new blog is at hand.  I hope for this blog to be a great resource tool for you as well as a constant inspiration for your creativity!  Thank you for all of your wonderful encouragement for my hard work.  I hope my little corner of the internet will be a comfortable place for you to come and to share and to delight in as much as I delight in it!

So…A little project for you today with a nice little “Teachorial”…yes…I made that up.  Not a tutorial with pictures, but just a couple of fun things I found to share with you and teach you how to do by words, not pictures…because it is that simple!

See that ornament?  A sweet SU! rub-on was used to put that “love” on the ornament.  All I did was take a mini glue dot and adhere it to the back of the ornament.  I did this because I want two hands free.  This way the ornament can stay in place on your work surface without it moving too much.

Cut out the rub-on you want.  Using a popsicle stick or a bone folder, hold the rub on still with one hand while rubbing with the other until the rub on easily pulls up from the surface.

Now onto the ribbon:  What a special way to do something different with your satin ribbon!  I took my ribbon and ran it through my cuttlebug embossing folder twice.  Once through and then turned around to emboss from the middle to the end again.  I just used a small glue dot to bring together the two loose ends.  A beautiful special treatment for your ribbon.  Thanks for all of your love.  I hope you like the new look!  Have a GREAT day!

Stamps: Take a Bough, Rustic Branches PTI

Paper: Stamper’s Select White

Ink: Ocean Tides, Silver Metallic Ink, Tsukineko Glue Pad

Ribbon: Ocean Tides Satin

Other: Martha Stewart Glitter, Martha Stewart Twine, Cuttelbug Embossing Folder, SU! Rub-ons
