Teacher’s Apple! Teacher’s Gifts Galore!
I don’t know about you, but each and every time I take the girl’s teachers something as a gift, I want it to be perfect. Let’s face it, they have thankless jobs most of the time, and since I am a teacher, my father was a teacher, my husband is a teacher…I get it! I get the hours of grading, the endless hours of apathetic looks, the struggles the kids face at home shining through in their difficulties in school. But these teachers persevere. They hang in there for the small things. The personal triumphs of each student no matter how small, the encouraging words of parental thanks, the days when 10, 15, 20 years later their students come back just to say “Hi” or “You were the best teacher ever!” Those are the moments.
For this project I utilized a lot of really great things from the Papertrey arsenal! This new set works so well with the limitless labels set, that I had to incorporate the new recipe cards into the vision. You see…the bottom (or top ) of these cards are just perfect for limitless labels. I could easily see this as a thank you to a coach as well. This happens to be a book I made for Sophie’s teacher so she could bring it in to the teacher’s helper this year and quietly get all of the kids to write something special about their teacher. I truly hope she loves this and is able to look back on all of the mis-spellings and bad grammar and horrendous penmanship with smiles and fond memories. Since Sophie wrote this standing up, it accounts for the penmanship! Ah kids! I just love the grammar errors as well. That just goes to prove that in every moment there is an opportunity to teach! Enjoy your day! Go take a look at what the rest of the team has done! All links to the Papertrey Design Team Members are provided on my sidebar!
