Not your Grandmother’s Nut Cups

That title makes me giggle.  :)   Anyhoo…WHEW!  What a weekend! Sorry no post yesterday!  I just couldn’t fit it in!  My brother’s wedding was great and there were TONS of people there.  Imagine a huge cathedral.  Now imagine it packed.  That is a lot of people!  Anyhow…it was so much fun to spend all that time with my family!  Now…on to the new way of presenting nuts on your Thanksgiving table!

These tins are perfect for dressing up and adding to the theme of your table.  Make sure not to cover them all the way to the top, or you will NOT get the lid on!  Yes…I found that out the hard way!  On some tins you are OK…not these…just a heads up.

I added this AMAZING brass utensil set to the top of the tin.  Don’t you just ADORE them?  I love it!  PERFECT for Thanksgiving and the top of the tins!  Little tip for getting the perfect size paper for around the tin:  Lay your piece of paper on top of the tin and use a stylus to trace around the inside of your windowed lid.  Cut out around the embossed line you made and it will be the perfect size.  That was a tip I learned from Debbie Olson.  SO helpful!

This is just a Yankee candle which I wrapped up in the same paper and added the leaves from First Fruits.  This would make such a nice hostess gift as well.  You can even have it in your family room or living room to help tie in the themes between rooms.  Lovely.

Hope this got you thinking about your table this year!  I can’t wait to show off my new nut cups!!  LOL!
