Wishing you Peace

I have really been loving making Christmas cards for my stash!  This is no exception!  Aren’t those ornament stamps cool?  They are from Basic Grey and are made to match the Wassail Papers…betcha didn’t know they had stamps to match?  Or DID you?  I got these babies at I heart papers and they are rock star stamps!  Really fun retro designs…  I was so excited when my package came.  If you want them, DON’T forget the coupon!  You get 10% off by putting in the code  thanksTEN!!  Also though…if you spend over $40.00 (ahem) you get FREE shipping in the US..

I embossed the ornaments as well as the sentiment in gold ep and it went so nicely with the gold shimmer cardstock.  I had to add some stitching because I thought it complimented that insanely cool tinsel ribbon which is so wicked cheap, I am not even going to get into it.  OK…that stuff is so soft!  I was expecting crunchy…NOPE…SO soft!  Don’t you just love all the shimmer?  MMMmmmm….yum.  Tinsely!!!  I am all about the shimmer and glitz this season!

So…I think I will be very busy today.  I am planning on getting a lot of cleaning done (which I have been putting off…AHEM) as well as baking the best gingerbread cookies in the ENTIRE universe!  YES…I will share.  I think when Sophie comes home we will sit down and I will give her a recorder lesson.  I have some nice “real” music she can start to look at.  She knows enough fingerings that she can play a lot of things now.  I just have to spend the time with her.  The end of the first marking period is over and they girls did really well, so I am so pleased.  They are good little workers.

Stamps: Wassail Clear Stamps, Snowflake Serenade (sentiment)

Paper: Wassail Basic Grey, Ripe Avocado, Gold Shimmer

Ink: Versamark

Ribbon: Metallic String Gold

Other: Gold Filigree Embossing Powder

  1. Becky, your card is beautiful. I love all of the gold that you added to it as well as the stitching. I love Christmas cards that are embossed with either gold or silver.

I hope that you will still be sharing your gingerbread cookie recipe with all of us. :)

Reading that your daughter Sophie would be playing the recorder brought back memories of when my daughter would come home from school and practice her recorder. I hope Sophie sticks with it.

This card is so adorable! I’ve got to go to Papertrey to see if you got the gold tinsel cord from them, if so, I have it! Love their holiday ribbons, I used them on all my Christmas projects for Sharon’s celebration.
