Stamp Simply Challenge #63 Thanks!
The challenge was simple and appropriate for this week! Since I am writing this feeling very large and bloated from all of my festivities! Make a card of thanks! Make sure you upload it so SCS with the keyword ssnotime63, so we can all see the cards
Also…a little public service announcement from me today. You may have noticed my server has been down a lot. Well, I have to tell you that I need to start paying hefty fees per month to keep up with my bandwidth usage. I know this has to do with the number of visitors I get which I am very thankful for, but I also have to please ask some things of you the public. If you see a card that you like or want to feature from this blog, you may NOT copy and save and then publish the photo elsewhere on any site for any reason without my permission and written consent to do so. You may also never use my posts in feeds of any kind. This is called “leeching” and it is quite an unsavory practice especially if it is to use MY bandwidth to profit YOUR site. So if you have any of these photos of mine from this blog for any reason I ask that you take them off of your site now before I have to contact you directly. I have already had to contact some this week and I don’t like having to do it, but I will.
I do need you to understand that LINKING to MY blog from yours is COMPLETELY and totally FINE. That is a very kind thing to do and it makes me very happy to have my name linked or my names in your sidebar
)) Very happy indeed. If you are not sure what I am talking about I think that this post will be very helpful to most of you. I applaud Julie for writing this. I may in the upcoming future, have to get creative about ways of making the money I have to put out for this blog back into my pocket somehow. I am unsure how I will do this, but I do not get paid to blog, and I do have to write a substantial check now each month to bring you what I hope to be some valuable ideas for you to try. Please be very respectful of this situation on anyone’s blog. This is a very disheartening situation and artists may choose not to share if it continues.
***also FYI…if you subscribe to this blog, you will recieve a full feed. When it comes in your e-mail box, I would love for you to come to my site and let me know what you think of the project. It is very encouraging when you do, and I can say, for others as well, it makes us feel like you want us to keep on inspiring you all. Please uplift someone and go to there blog via your inbox! We would love to hear your comments.***

What an awesome card Beck! Love that rickrack down the side, and the colors you used!
I am so sorry you and others are having so much trouble with bandwidth theft. I went through this a looong time ago too. I used to have a little code I encrypted on my website to every picture I had up, if they stole it, nobody would see the picture on their site, but would see a little graphic stating what I thought of bandwidth thieves! LOL!

Regarding the PSA… I don’t even know what bandwith is, so I’m sure I’m not one causing the problem! LOL I be very ‘puter challenged!

Would you belive that at firat I did not recognize that stamp set as First Fruits? It is a beautiful use for one of my favorite sets.
And about sewing? Somehow I missed that skill. I can sew in a straight line, but only after I took a machine quilting class. I feel your pain. My mother never sewed or crafted, so whatever I can do, I learned after I married.

A question…I am just a person who subscribes to your wonderful blog. Sometimes, I will print out your instructions, and some times I will hit “save” on my computer and save the blog page to a file on my desktop for future use. I don’t have a blog and certainly don’t intend to publish anything. But does the “save” to my computer affect the bandwidth problem? Should I erase everything I have saved? I want to do the right thing. Thanks!

Wow it seems like everyone is talking about: hotlinking, switcherooleeching, etc. It makes a girls head swim. Speaking for myself I don’t have a blog but do save as ideas from some blogs I read for personal inspiration and do in pic name the person whom I got it from. But honestly I have never, before last week, ever heard of any of this.
Thanks for sharing

Becky – I enjoy visiting your blog most every day and I hate that you are having trouble with theives! There is always someone out there trying to spoil things! I hope the “bad guys” see the comments you (and several other blogs) have left and wise up and quit doing this! I don’t have a blog but I enjoy seeing what all of you have created and enjoy it all. Please know that there are a lot of good people out here that wouldn’t think of doing this!

So sorry to hear of the issues you’ve been having! It must be intensely frustrating!!!!!!!
Really hope that you’re able to find a way to make it work! I’d really hate to see your blog go! It’s one of the ones I visit quite frequently!

Becky I too enjoy checking your blog on a daily basis. I don’t have a blog but I do right click and save the picture to a folder on my computer with card ideas is that a problem?

I love all your ideas. I check your blog all the time and it never disappoints. I hope you never have to give your blog up as it is so enjoyable and great for inspiration. You are very talented. It is too bad there are always people out there ruining things for honest good people. I hope you are able to track them down. If they do not comply then post their addresses and I am sure your loyal readers will flood there sites with complaints.
