Stamp Simply #64 Christmas Card with a Twist!

Today’s challenge is to make a Christmas card, but with a bit of a twist!!!  We can NOT use a traditional Christmas stamp or traditional Christmas DP – but aside from that, anything goes.  You MAY use:

Any stamp, OTHER THAN a traditional Christmas stamp

Any designer paper, OTHER THAN traditional Christmas designer paper

Any embellishments

Any colors

You MAY USE a Christmas sentiment

And please be sure to check out CAT’s Sketch Challenge  today – it’s a great one!!!  And, YES, you certainly MAY combine this Stamp Simply Challenge along with CAT’S Sketch Challenge – how fun.

If you upload to SCS, please KEYWORD either of these challenges as SSC08, but please also, as usual, KEYWORD the Stamp Simply challenge as ssnotime64.  So if you play the Stamp Simply Challenge, you will use BOTH KEYWORDS – thanks!!!

So…How is everyone??  It has been a busy couple of days for me.  It was John’s birthday yesterday (still no card made…AHEM)…but we will celebrate tonight, so I still have time!  We diodn’t celebrate yesterday because my girls had their Christmas concert at school!  It was so cute.  They have a very small school, so Emma played violin with only three other girls from her class.  Sophie is in third grade and that is when they start recorder.  She had most of her class in there which is great and will hopefully bode well for their band numbers next year.  Sophie will eventually play oboe (says me) and learn early winds.  Yep…I need an early music player in the bunch.  Emma is a cartoonist.  She is gifted at it.  She actually won a town-wide competition for her cartoon to be on the town’s “green” bags, and I should have it in my hands any day now.  I will share with you.  She has also done some cartoons (she does humorous cartoons…mostly animals) using my copics.  She has a pretty good feel with them.  Blah blah blah…anyway…I will share some stuff when the bag comes out.  :)   Sorry for the gushing Mom moment.  I have direct TV coming today.  WE just got ourselves our big present of the year.  A TV bigger than my rear end!  That means…it is REALLY huge!!  LOL!!  OK…off to get some deadlines met!  Have a great day…and play in this challenge, because I had fun, and so will you…says me!  Go cheack out what the other brilliant women did!

Yes, Sophie should definitely take up the oboe. I played in high school even though we were a concert band, not an orchestra. What a fun instrument and so many great solos written for it!

Kay’s Crystal Ball: Cute rubber stamps designed By Emma! Remember – I DISCOVERED HER. BTW, just the other day I told someone who had a knee replacement that their knee looked bigger than my butt! Yep, we must be related (Beth Moore and all.) Keep up the good craft work, silly girlfriend! I’m really gonna paper craft again some day — I promise. Right after I get a clean house and clean underwear (not necessarily in that order). Oh, and one more thing, Keaton plays violin too. SHUT UP! :)
