I created this fun card using a super simple sketch idea I had. The scallops were made using a new fave tool of mine. I will share soon enough. I can actually explain it when I show you something that I made with my Papertrey release projects coming up on the 15th. I just am loving how this American Crafts Flair works so well with all of the new PTI Valentine’s sets! In case you missed it, I did two posts yesterday. One was a sympathy/wedding card post and underneath it was another Valentine’s card. So you may want to scroll to get the full effect of all of the flair going on around here! If you haven’t bought Flair, it is so much fun. Like I can’t get enough of it on facebook already! These buttons are actually stickers, so they are super easy to apply. It was odd though, when I got some Christmas flair this year, they didn’t come off the sheet well and I had to end up using dimensionals. I was certain that that was the way they were supposed to be until I opened my Valentine pack. They were fine! Came right off the sheet and didn’t leave the sticky backing behind on the clear sheet it came on! I think I got a defective one. So what did I do today. Hmmm…I went to work. My voice students are sounding great this semester. I worked on some music in the train. I am going to be singing some solo stuff in March I needed to start looking at. I am also singing for the first time with a really great ensemble called Antioch in February/March and May. I am going down to the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston SC over Memorial Day weekend to sing. We are joining forces with a group called Voces8 from the UK. I still don’t know the repertoire. I am praying it is good, hopefully early or brand new repertoire. I had to get released from two other concerts with The Crossing to do this, so that was a really hard decisions for me. Our last Crossing Concert was so good I lost it in dress rehearsal. I mean ugly cry lost it! Thankfully only the alto section noticed, but I think some others were losing it too. We just got to this spot in the music where it was so beautiful and spoke so much to who we were as a group it just happened! That has NEVER happened to me before. EVER. That being said, we ended up doing that section of music for the encore. I think that was a good call.
I hope I am not boring you talking about music. I am just in a musical kind of mood today, so I am bending your ear a bit. Sorry if it is too much chatter. If anyone lives near North jersey or Charleston SC, I would love to see you come out for the concerts. One thing I know for sure, they will be good.

Love the flair, baby! Piccolo Spoletto schedules not out yet, but we have a bunch of people down here that want to come to a performance. It loks like you’ll be singing at St. Phillips [ where Antioch sang in 2004 ]. That’s the church that looks like it’s in the middle of the street [church street, go figure]. Beautiful historic building

Love this color combo. Yummy
This is too cute! So fresh and fun! I love it:)
Darling card!!
I hear you with the music and the ugly cry thing. EVERY time I solo, it ends up that way. I pick songs that move me, but maybe just a little too much. Oh, heck, I can cry no matter what the music!!! Too much family heritage, I guess!
