Stamp Simply “Senior Citizen Card”

The challenge this week was to do a senior citizen card. It is Sharon’s birthday this week, so she thought this would be a fun way to celebrate!  HA!  Funny!  this was…well… WHOA.  HARD.  I had a really hard time with not wanting to make it so over-the-top old lady, and still stay true to my own style.  This is a hard challenge for those of you who are fairly non-vintage stampers, me being one of them.

So I decided on letting some lace ribbons onto my piece, but still keeping a slightly up-do-date non romantic look to the card.  A good card for a pastor’s wife I was thinking.  Modest, but not stuffy and decrepit ;)   So here it is:

Hope you like it! If you want to play, make sure you upload your card to Splitcoast Stampers using hte keyword ssnotime70, in the keyword section of your post.  Have fun, and remember, you don’t have to lose your own sense of style when a hard challenge is put up against you!  Go have a look at what the other girls did!
