The Other Birthday Card
So, this will be a short post today. I have had to teach and had two rehearsals today, so I am a bit loopy. But I am leaving you with some fab eye candy today. The hot color combo…yellow and grey! Here we come!
Is this birthday sophisticate or what? I even made sure to color the stitching in the grosgrain with my grey copic so it wouldn’t be so harsh and stand out. The yellow is embossing powder. The grey textured paper is from an SEI paper pack I got at the awesome {i heart papers}, and the image is from the wonderful Piece of Cake set from Papertrey. So do you like this color combo? You have to admit it is striking. I used the embossing with Damask Designs to round out the elegant feel. Of course the true black cardstock is doing a lovely job puling it all together for me. I couldn’t bear to put a sentiment on the front. I just liked the look of the image and the different textures of the paper and embossing. Hope ya dig it!
PS. Haven’t heard about the compter yet. Most of my family pictures are backed up, but the rest of my life is on there as well, and it may end up being a real hassle (as most of you know), but it isn’t up to me. Oh computer gods…intervene for thy wayward servant!
Stamps: Piece of Cake, Damask Designs
Paper: SEI Windsor Paper Collection, True Black, Lemon Tart
Ink: True Black, Versamark
Ribbon: True Black Grosgrain

Very nice! I recently did a gray & yellow card myself – called Retro Dream and was surprised by how much I liked that color combo. This is really pretty!

Elegant it is!! On my monitor it appears lilac and cream which I also think is beautiful. It reminds me of beautiful dresses women wore in the 50’s and the buttons and ribbon are the pieces de re`sistance! TFS.

First time visitor to your blog. I love your style. Now because of your inspiration, I’m thinking I need to purchase a few PTI sets that I’ve passed over in past release. Curses =P
Thanks for sharing and the inspiration!
