I was incredibly excited to just happen upon this amazing group af artists and crafters in Philly. It happened while blurfing the other day, and it was something I have been searching for (in my soul at least) for a while now. Some people who I can connect with locally and therefore enjoy, learn and buy art locally as well. I am probably one of the few stampers in the group, so it should be a really great experience! So I made my first blog post over there, and will be doing so every week! For that is the challenge…to make something beautiful (they say it can even be dinner!) every week! Isn’t that great! Well…here is the blog addy for ya! PHILLY MAKES. So those of you who are Philly peeps especially….check them out and JOIN!
SO… ya want to see a card?
So I have so much to share today! I haven’t been around much, but I have been making cards, believe it or not! I have had a ton of stuff for submissions due, so I have been working like crazy on those, as well as hosting German exchange students/teachers this week. So things have been a bit crazy. We went to the Mütter Museum (EWWWW…but at the same time a bit fascinating), as well being in the audience for a local TV show. That paired with my regular rehearsals, things have been nuts. I have been smelling the flowers though
I would lie if I said I don’t love every single minute the German’s are here. We have such a great time. I also wanted to make a shout out of thanks to Jeffrey Rudell ( Of “Martha Stewart Apprentice” Fame) over at Craft Stylish, for giving me a shout out in his blog post the other day! Thanks Jeffrey! You’re the best!

This is lovely. The fact that you made it clean & simple and colorful makes it even more lovely. That skunk is a super touch and brings a smile to my face. Beautiful card!
Love your Pepe La pue! To cute, did you make the flowers? Did the germans like the Mutter? Eww….
Great card. Love the little skunk. (I can’t believe I actually said I love a skunk)

Great card. I love the contrast of the white and the bright colors. I’ll have to try that.
You got those flowers at WAL-MART?!!?! I’m grabbing my purse now and headed out the door!
Sweet card, love the colors! Now, please go tell me from where the exchange students are exactly – I need to change university if this gives me a chance to visit an inspiring scrapper ;o)
That is so lovely. I like the fun mix of stamp sets!
I thought the same thing as Sarah when I saw Wal Mart has the flowers – where in Wal Mart did you find these? Oh, by the way, the card is adorable!

OK, how is it that I’ve been stalking your blog all this time and never knew you were in PA too?? Similarly, I just discovered two other PA groups – Pittsburgh Craft Collaborative (PCC) and HIP (Handmade in PA) http://www.handmadeinpa.net/ and I am so glad I did. Thought I’d share HIP in particular, since YOU are, ehem, HIP too
Hee, yeah Germans are so cool, don’t you think ;D Well okay, I admit: I’m German – so what did you expect me to say? I’d love to be there as well *sigh* Anyways, very cute card, this is my favourite image from the Forest Friends Set! Many Greetings from Heidelberg to you and your German friends! Nina
