Calling All Sports Fans!
I had a really good time making this T-shirt gift set for a little boy. At first, I thought this was going to be really hard since I have no boys, but then I got thinking about the fact that I should just make something my friends would like for their sons. This made it a little bit easier. Then I really got into it! The shirt was made using dark T-shirt transfers. Dark T-shirt Transfers are white, so the pennant itself wasn’t to difficult to make, but the circles under them took a bit of thinking. So I inked the circles in Dark Chocolate ink and stamped them. It was still very white behind them, and I just couldn’t put them on the T-shirt like that…stark white. So I got out a dauber and daubed my Ripe Avocado ink on top of them for a background color. Then they were suitable enough to punch out and iron them on.
I wanted to keep the card very simple. I know boys don’t like a whole lot of gobbledy gook (technical term) on their gifts, so I kept it super simple and added some uneven piercings using my sewing machine without thread. Makes piercing SO much faster!
I then used one of Lauren’s new templates this month “Get a Handle on It” and made a two-tone box with lots more sewing machine piercings to go with it! I loved the look and thought it looked like something that was manufactured just for the shirt. The box is a perfect size to roll up a T-shirt. It is MUCH bigger than it appears! The top slides up revealing the tabs to open the box. I used some green hemp and some great new Dark Chocolate buttons to top it all off! Hope you love this idea and try it. You know, those templates are really amazing and make such a beautiful gift presentation!!
I really do hope you check out what all of the other girls have done!!
