Spring Fling!

Oh I just loved this challenge.  I actually got to work on it the very day it was assigned.  I found this decorating trends for spring 2009 site and grabbed this inspiration picture.  Don’t you just adore the colors?  I think the biggest surprise in the color scheme for me was the use of the red.  It was just so incredibly striking.  As soon as I saw those buttons though, I just knew I HAD to use this for my inspiration!  I chose Heather’s Journaling Lines to off-set stamp and make the pinstripes which mimic the sheets.  I then took the headboard as an inspiration for my matting, the throw pillow for the scalloped rectangle sentiment, and the buttons are obvious on the wall, as well as the pillow, so I chose to add them to either side of my sentiment as well.  I could see so many other directions to go in with this picture as well!  Won’t YOU try it?  Go and see what the other girls did with their picture inspirations!!

Love how you mimiced the cool button wall art on your card. I do wonder where one can find buttons that huge for wall art. Those would be cool to own for the craft room. Terrific interpretation! I can’t wait to try this myself. I can just see it done maybe slightly larger and mounted in a frame for over the bed. I think for that I would substitute the word Dream for Thanks but I love the overall colors and concept. Love the inspiration picture too with the oversize buttons.

Thanks for sharing the inspiration and creativity. – Jean
