First an formost, Sharon shared some news with us that we would like to pass along as a team:
Prayer Request: Dee Jackson has been with us on the Stamp Simply design crew almost from the beginning. You all know her from over at Stampin Cuz I Luv 2. Dee has been experiencing some health issues and is in need of prayer, so if you could include Dee in your prayers, it would be most appreciated! And if you care to stop in at her Blog, linked above, and tell her you are praying for her or thinking of her, I bet when she recuperates she’d love reading your comments! Thank you!!!
Our challenge today is to make a little something for Mom for Mother’s day. I already made my own Mom her present, so I thought I would make a card for John’s Mom to go with her flower basket we get for her every year. I am a little upset with how the photos turned out. It has been VERY rainy here in the northeast, so I apologize if things are not up to my usual standards today. Here is what I created:
Even though this card looks relatively simple, it took some time because I hand-stitched all around the edges. I like the colors of this. Soft, quiet. Taking the inchie square and focussing it makes the rest of the card look so much bigger. It is only 4×4. I have left off a sentiment…I guess you could say it is a card in progress. I am still trying to decide what to put in there if anything.
So things have been busy, and I have been quiet, which if you really knew me is unusual. I tend to get quiet when things get hectic. John had some dental work done. He had a crack in his tooth. Well, within a couple of days his jaw got tense and he could only open his mouth a certain amount. UH OH. We have been trying to sort out if he has lock jaw. That has been ruled out. No other symptoms associated with that (thank goodness), but we think it was the muscles response to having his mouth open wide for so long. The dentist gave him a mouth splint. OK…I totally laughed too, so go ahead!! Yes…they make mouth splints! Who knew! John has an overbite (I am sure he would love me telling all of you his business) and the dentist said his mouth doesn’t lay in a natural position. He got it yesterday and has to wear this thing as much as possible. So he slept with it and don’t you know…he could open his mouth wider this morning! WOW! He may just be crooked!!
Go see what the other girls did today and please upload your cards to Splitcoast with the keyword: ssnotime86

This card is precious. I love the inchie focal point and the stitching. Jean will love it. Hope John feels better; so, what does a mouth splint look like?
Very pretty Becky!!
This is just adorable — LOVE the hardware, stitches and buttons — lovely creation!
