Hey Guys!

Hi guys!  Just checkin’ in!  I have been really busy this week with concerts and rehearsals.  The Crossing gave an outstanding concert this week of a piece that all of us clearly were madly in love with.  I had a couple of big solos in it.  Some were very dramatic and others were more haunting and chant-like.  It was a definite labor of love and the standing ovation proved that we are well on our way as an ensemble that can intimately include their audience.  It was really magical.  HERE is the review

You know I put in my Facebook status the other day that I am the luckiest girl in the world.  Well, I really think I am.  I am now packing up my new wardrobe (girl has to do SOME shopping now and again) and getting ready to head down to down in Charleston SC to sing at Piccolo Spoleto.  I am singing with the Antioch Chamber Ensemble! An award-winning  top-notch small vocal ensemble of professional singers devoted to music of all time periods and  really dedicated to championing new music from American composers.  This will prove to be a stellar concert and a really, really fun time!!!!  A lot of the music we are doing I have already shared with you in you-tube videos.  If you are interested in seeing us again you can view the You Tube Channel:

Some other things have come to pass as well for me musically.  I have been asked to join Dolce Suono again next season, but this time not singing new music, but,  in their Baroque program.  I will be doing among other things Handel’s “Mi Palpita il cor.”  You can watch a little bit of my favorite artist Andreas Scholl singing it here with baroque oboe.  We will be doing the version with flute:

So…I leave on Thursday for South Carolina.  I am really looking forward to the trip.  I will be there for a couple of days, but will make sure I give you a full report when I come home :)
