A Stamp Simply Farewell
Unfortunately there comes a time when you have to say goodbye to various teams. This is one of those times. I have enjoyed Sharon’s challenges immensely and will miss all of my crew mates terribly, but it seems like life has been getting a little crazy for me these days and I need to say goodbye. With my upcoming travels and more of the same impending in my future, I didn’t think it was fair to commit to any more weekly challenges I may not be able to finish. Thanks so much for everyone’s comments and love throughout my time on the SS crew. I will participate when I can!
As for this weeks final challenge for me, we were asked to make a project featuring our favorite summer recipe! So here is my card:
This is my absolute favorite recipe for the summer! Peach Custard Pie. Be prepared to die and go to heaven!
Here is the recipe:
Preheat oven to 425
1 prepared pie crust ( I use pillsbury)
5 medium pealed fresh peaches
1 8oz container sour cream (actually a little less)
3 large egg yolks
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
Streusel Topping:
4 tbsp butter
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
Put dough in pie plate, arrange sliced peaches, whisk all other ingredients and pour over top.
bake for 30 minutes, pull out add streusel topping and bake for 15-20 minutes more until knife comes out clean.
I LOVE THIS PIE!!!!
Go and see what recipes the other girls have shared, and if you would like to participate, please share your work over at splitcoast using keyword: ssnotime92! Thanks Sharon and the girls for a fantastic time on the team!

I have no idea how I ran across your site…I was blog-hopping for a half hour the other night…but WOW. What an inspiration! I have a question, but first a few comments..
And the coasters! I LOVE those…so simple and elegant and practical all in one. OOooh…and the colors and details and swirls on that peach card…those peaches looked realistic enough to eat. =) I’ll look forward to stopping by your blog once in a while. Thanks for sharing your inspiring work!!
Your Rte66 trip looked amazing…how fun is that!! =) I loved your button bits card…esp the dear little bird in the lower corner. That bird you made just might tempt me to buy that set…I’ve not seen a cuter button-bird.
Oh yes…my question…that peach pie recipe looks fantastic, too! Do you serve it warm, counter-cooled, or refrigerated?

I have a very good friend in Georgia. I think of her as a “peach” of a friend. I’d love to win this for her.
