Our senior DT challenge this month was an exciting one! Mix and match at least four different patterns on our project! I kind of pulled this off in a more classic way than you would think of mixing patterns. I wanted a more tailored look. Maybe because that is what I am more comfortable with. So I pulled together like colors and pattern sizes. I think that is the key. Especially in the size of the patterns. Try to keep them around the same size, and you will tend to be a bit more successful if you are nervous about this at all.
Since I used the paper as the main focal point of this card set, I didn’t want it to overload the card. So I only continued halfway down the card with the patterned paper to give it more balance. By doing this, it also helps to show off the insides of the cards, which have full sheets of differing patterned paper.
framing and using the large Dark Chocolate buttons were also a fun element. This is a nice option in a set of thank you cards for when you send a card to a woman or a man.
I finished up my card collection by housing it in a My Timeless Template “Captured Card Case.” I know this template is a favorite for MANY people, and I just love it as well. I just mimicked my card fronts for the top of the box and added a Trademarks stamp along with my button. A nice finish to a tailored card set. Hope you enjoyed it! Go check out what the other girls did for their patterns!

Where can I get the template of the timeless card case? Sounds interesting? Is it hard to put together?
All the projects are great but this is my FAVORITE! Love it! I have been wanting to create a card / gift set and this is the perfect inspiration!!
Yowser, this is stunning! Everything about it says “I’m an elegant box of handmade cards made by an uber talented person and you would be lucky to get me.” Yes, that’s what it said. I heard it and I heart it. A LOT. Luv ya Beck.
Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration. I found this on pinterest and “lifted” it for thank you cards that my church needed very quickly. I also used neutral colors so it could be given to a man or a couple. I have posted mine yet but if I do I’ll leave you a link. Would it be okay to post them since I didn’t change much from your original (I would give complete credit to you)? Just let me know either way I would appreciate it.
