Back Home!

Well, I am home safe and sound.  I say safe and sound because the second flight home was a death sentence white-knuckle ride to put it mildly.  I’m assuming God doesn’t make all days perfect flying days.  You have to have bad weather sometimes.  I just would appreciate Him holding off until I got off  the plane.

Nevertheless, I am home and adjusting back to the daily routine here, which has been anything but routine.   I was behind on my release assignments from being away for so long, but came home to my box of goodies and got to work!   I have finished them up and will show you what I have been up to today.

I thought it would be nice not to group them all at one time, so I will share  with you what I made with  Nichole’s new $15.00 set “Autumn Abundance.”

I did love working with this set.  I really adore pottery, so I decided to use a blue pottery scheme to go with the fall leaves.  Even with all of the blue, I think this card is very warm.  I used a hint of grey in the base of the pottery as well.  This reminds me of Pennsylvania pottery.  Not too white, but more of a grey in the clay.  I paired this set with the Background Basics Text Style set.  What do you think?

I have also been enjoying my new camera.  Getting to learn all about it.  I am teaching myself by reading A LOT.  JOhn had it for most of the time we were in Germany because he enjoys the architecture pictures, while I enjoy the candids of people.  Here are a couple pictures I snapped recently:

This is of my niece Jackie.  She had her hair in a ponytail, and I asked her to please take it out and just to look at me without smiling.  Since she is a new teenager, so she was not too into her Aunt taking a picture of her…that is…until she saw it.

Here are two of Sophie taken in Germany:

and here are some of the son of one of teachers who helped with the exchange in Germany.  I adored taking pictures of him!

Honestly, could you even dream up a more sweet face?  I can honestly tell you as well that he has such a calm loving personality.  He was never cranky!  I couldn’t believe it!  We brought him a little something from America when we came:

He loved it.  AH!  Mr. Potato Head…or as we liked to call him Herr Kartoffel Kopf! Hee!  So you can see I had a fun time using the new camera!  I will be back tomorrow with some more projects and more stories of our huge trip!

Awesome card! Really like how you used the textstyle on the bottom of the card! Will definitely have to try it out myself.

Love all the pix you took with your new camera! I’ve had mine since Dec, and am STILL learning how to use it. Guess I need to get a tripod so I don’t keep getting blurry pix!

Looking forward to hearing more from your Germany trip!
