Stamping Around Philly!
What a wonderful time we had in Folgelsville PA! I had the pleasure of teaching for Stamping Around Philly this past weekend, and I can’t even tell you what a joy it was! Thanks for everyone who came out. Thanks especially to Kim and Julie for planning everything and having such a wonderful company to put together events like this. I can’t even begin to tell you what a nice time I had.
Kim and Julie planned what would be the most beautiful weekend of stamping…ever! First night….stamping in your PJ’s with Julie’s class and Kitchen Sink Stamps! I can’t believe Julie and Charmaine came so far with their new little babies! I mean…Julie JUST had Owen! Amazing! Also Korin Sutherland from Sweet and Sassy Stamps was there to give an extra bonus class where we made a cute Christmas tree card out of sentiments.
This is where our amazing room was. John was so longsuffering and came with me on this trip, but he thoroughly enjoyed himself. Walking the huge farm and property was a real treat.
Our room was pure heaven. We even fell asleep with the fireplace on. It was on a timer, so it just turned off on its own. Perfection. We woke up to the sight of sheep on the pasture outside. There were many animals on this farm. Every meal was organic and from the farm as well.
They must need a lot of wood here. Not only do they have so many fireplaces, but they also have a smokehouse and boy…if you had a turkey sandwich for lunch there, you can taste how wonderful the smoked meats are! Fantastic!
Not only did they have fun animals…
But they had fun people as well!!!! This is Jackie, Kristin, and Tammy! It was so nice to finally meet Tammy -who was a HOOT and to hang with Kristin and Jackie! Jackie was my faithful partner in crime! What fun we had! HEY….isn’t Leanne Pugliese supposed to be sitting in this picture? I think Tammy kidnapped her! I apparently had NO control over my class!
OK….I loved Belinda and Ren-Yi!!!! They were so hysterical. First of all, I am sure you know Belinda from the PTI forums and her blog and Waltzing Mouse Stamps.
Well…these girls had me laughing so hard. I didn’t knwo anyone who wanted buttons more than Ren-Yi! I swear I gave away at least 10 bags of buttons, and I am glad she won one! She almost had a hernia! Look at Belinda! REN-YI WON THE BUTTONS! LOL! Belinda made me so happy, I sang to her. Hee.
You know when you meet someone for the firs ttime, and you recongize their name right away, because they leave comments on your blog and you think they are wonderful? OK…well…maybe you don’t, and I never did either…until now! I was there when Cheryl Sims and her daughter walked in to register for the class. I totally knew who she was and didn’t want to freak her out by hugging her and saying thanks for reading my blog! That would be weird, I thought. So she says…so you know who I am? OF COURSE I DID! Maybe I SHOULD HAVE hugged her! Poor thing didn’t think I read any of her comments! She then went on to leave alovely comment on Nichole’s blog the other day about my teaching, and again…THANK YOU CHERYL! We will come visit you in Lake In Woods really soon!
I got to meet Bethany Paull who was also sitting with Cheryl! HI BETHANY!
Here is Charmaine Ikach and I. It was really nice to finally meet Charmaine and welcome her to the new PTI template team. We didn’t get to spend too much time together, but we did meet each other and quickly talk music and stamping! Charmaine, your daughter is beautiful!
So…that is it! A bucolic setting and a wonderful time stamping with WONDERFUL people! WHAT MORE could you ask for! Stamping Around is an FIRST CLASS organization. Thank you so much Stamping Around!

That humongous camera of yours sure did take some great photos. You weren’t kidding when you told us about your room.
We have been wondering if John got to taste the fabulous lunch. Thank you again for being a part of such a memorable weekend. Glad Nichole reads her comments too. She needed to know what a gem you are. Good luck with your concerts. We really do hope to see you at Lake in Wood. I will get the brochure out to you, not sure when the new one is available. It was at the printers. Take care and thanks again.
Hugs to you,Cheryl

It sounds like you had a fabulous time; it is always so wonderful meeting new stamping friends!!

Yay!!! I’m famous ;] LOL I forgot you even took that picture of us! Yes, Tammy kidnapped LeAnne and hid her in one of the barns at the end of a winding path on the property…just so she could steal her seat and sit by me for a few minutes. It didn’t take LeAnne long to escape and find her way back to the stamping room though!
Look at that table! By the end of the day ours was most definitely the messiest…I LOVED every minute of it!
You took the BEST pictures of the property…I think I’m going to steal them and file them with mine ;] I’ll give you credit of course…unless your hubby took them? Oh, and tell your hubby he had the best announcing voice that day! He may have missed his calling ;] ha ha
Thanks for singing to us to keep us entertained and for teaching an AWESOME class! LOVED your project! It was great meeting you!! I’ll be in touch, I’m sure.

Becky – You are so awesome!! I had such fun during your class (and many giveaways)…love the energy you brought that morning and the wonderful card set that I brought home with me.
I agree with the previous comment about your photos of the property – WOW!! It was so beautiful & the weather was perfect! Hope your hubby got all the papers corrected – it would’ve been difficult to stay focused. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t capture a photo of the sheep under dutiful watch of Teardrop. So glad that I was there and that I got to meet you!

Becky!
I had an amazing time getting to spend the weekend with you! Your class was just more fun then I could have ever imagined, and getting to sit next to you was beyond a blast. Partner in crime? I think that may be an understatement…LOL I am glad that I got the chance to meet you this trip, it really was lovely. Loving the variety of pictures you got as well, just too wonderful! Have a great day, I look forward to hopefully meeting up with you again!

Becky!! Thank you so much for teaching! It was wonderful to meet you in person and your class was fantastic! (And you really need to airbrush out that big ‘ol face of mine…I’m going to scare off your readers! LOL!) Thanks for also sharing the photos of the amazing Glasbern Inn…it was divine!

hey Becky-
i loved, loved your class and the energy that you teach it with. how can Belinda and I not be excited?!
And yes, I have a slight obsession with the color brown — ever since it crept into fashion about 3 years back. And I love PTI buttons (PTI anything, really) so it was very exciting to take home the “harvest” stamp set and get brown buttons. It’s one thing to stalk the web for PTI products and “ooh” and “ahh.” It’s quite another moment to actually hold it and call it your own
I’m a total (stamp) convert now (poor dusty crochet needles are looking at me with disdain) and thanks for making my weekend so much fun!
hope to see you soon, whether it be crafty or music-related…

Heh, the singing was AWESOME!
Had such a blast — so glad that I got a chance to meet you and super glad that we were sitting near you and could keep you laughing(and vice versa
. Thanks for the awesome class — love love love my new card set and box.
That big camera of yours took some awesome pics of the area and the room. Wasn’t that fireplace awesome? We did the same thing — I told my husband I want one of those in our place!
(And no need to airbrush Kim’s face… I thought she was super photogenic… not sure what she’s talking about

That is the most beautiful place! I’m so jealous because it looked like it was a blast and yet serene. I’m sure it wasn’t so serene actually *in* the class, but I’m sure it was still so much fun. Someday I’ll attend something like that.

It was so great to meet you, you are as fun and wonderful IRL as you are on your blog, and thank you for taking pictures of the Inn, otherwise my DH would never have gotten to see it, because I sure didn’t take any! And yes, how did Tammy get into MY seat?? And I loved to hear you sing…..I was listening!!!
Hugs,
LeAnne

Your pictures turned out beautifully, Becky! I will have to show my family because I just didn’t take that many of the scenery. It looks like your room was the exact opposite in orientation from ours, so that will be good to show the family too, because they’re all freaking because I didn’t even take pictures of that incredible room and fireplace! AND the huge bathroom! Geez, you coulda’ fit a family of 4 in the shower alone! LOL
Can’t wait to see you again!!!

What great pictures Becky; thank you for sharing! You should have hugged Cheryl – LOL! Oftentimes we visit ‘famous’ blogs (like yours) and we’re never sure if you get to read them or not.
Oftentimes I, personally, think the blogs I visit get so many comments that the creators don’t have time to read them. So this encourages me to go ahead – make a comment! See…you even inspire us through photos and updates! Thanks!!
