My Crazy Life…

Is really fun.  I’m in full swing for the concert season and have been having a ton of fun with friends recently, so I thought I’d share a few pics.  So it all happened one day last year on the way back from a rehearsal in north Jersey.  My friend Brian and I (the two Philadelphians in Antioch Chamber Ensemble) stumbled upon what looked to be a dive.  Being the consumate  foodie that he is, Brian said.  “I want to go in.”  The rest is history.

italiansoda My Italian soda was lime, his was watermelon.

thebestpie and it was THIS.  This most magnificent, fresh and delectable tomatoe pie we had ever had.  Something we had completely stubled upon in the middle of nowhere that blew our minds one year ago.  We have been waiting so long to get back here and experience it again.  Not sure if we would expect the same thing, we once again were not disappointed.

we decided this time to go for more toppings.  The first time we had spinach and mushrooms.  This time we opted for spinach, mushrooms, olives, carmelized onions and prosciutto, but it is the tomatoes.  The perfectly steamed Roma tomatoes that MAKE this pie.  You can taste the freshness which makes all of the difference.  It was and is the best pie I have ever tasted.

Then came rehearsal…Crazy kids:

Yes…this is all somewhat normal.  What do you want, we are crazy musicians.  Cameras are not off limits in this ensemble!

Then yesterday:

alley after lunch I strolled to my friend’s store.

doilies took in the wares and was really in search of linen napkins.  None were to be found, but there were lots of pretty doilies!

prizeoftheday BUT I TOTALLY SCORED ON THIS!!!!!!  How amazing is this??  Picked it up for Sophie’s room re-do!!!  My friend says everyone has been asking if it is for sale and she keeps saying no, but when I asked…she said “I don’t know what you do to me Becky!”  $30.00 later, it was mine!  THANKS VALERIE!

So there it is.  My crazy last couple of days in pictures!  Hope you had as much fun looking as I have had living it.
