Tiny Treats

Christmas shopping is almost done and it is now time to start thinking ahead to the next rush of mini gifts, which is the sometimes intimidating, sometimes frustrating and all the time kid-encompassing Valentine’s Day!  Nichole Heady has designed a set which is not only a really easy way to put your homemade spin on this classroom tradition, but easily switches to a year-round set that can utilize all of the fun Papertrey colors and card stocks to match!  Come see how I take “Tiny Treats” from Valentines to any time in a single scroll of the mouse.

Your kids can DO THIS!  Making something fast and easy is numero uno in my plans for Valentine’s day each year.  I’m not willing to spend hours on something a kid will rip apart within two seconds, so I got out my punches and this is as easy as 1,2, 3.  Stamp, Punch and Paste!

You will need the mega (for the white circle) and giga (for the Dark Chocolate circle) Marvy scalloped punches.  Punch all of your brown circles.  Then stamp on white all of your fun circle labels in raspberry fizz ink.  Then punch out using the mega punch.  Then taking some peppermint patties use some score tape and pull bag the bag a bit.  This will also be your adhesive for the bottom of your peppermint patty sandwich.  Then stamp all of your owl images into the white circle with Dark Chocolate ink and color in the heart with a copic marker.  You don’t even have to color in the main image.  He looks cute just as he is, and this is so much faster when mass-producing.  There you have it!  A fast, peanut-free sweet Valentine’s present for the entire class!  I can even see you taking these to the office.  I mean….who doesn’t love a nice little peppermint patty Valentine?

So you want to see some of these sweet things colored?  Wait til you see how wonderful they integrate with all of the PTI cardstock!

Thank you notes/ Birthday Cards can be a breeze with these little guys.  Keep the design simple and punch as much as possible to keep many of these on hand for last minute gifts.  Sweet Owl, meet Dark Chocolate

I love your cute 3×3 card set, Becky! So cute for everyday little love notes! Did you use punches for the squares and mats or cut them by hand? I love how you’ve colored then in! Just a perfect little note for anytime — sigh.
