Video & Challenge – “Compose a Card!”

I AM READY TO HAVE SOME FUN WITH YOU!!!!  You in?

Welcome to my all-new weekly challenge!  This challenge is called “Compose a Card!”  It is super fun, because each week on Tuesdays I will post a fun video with some super music and a card recipe JUST FOR YOU!  SO… with this challenge there are a couple of things all rolled into one for YOU…my WONDERFUL readers!

This challenge will include:

A VIDEO

SUPER FUN MUSIC TO INSPIRE YOU

AN INSPIRATION PICTURE INCORPORATING THE CHALLENGE COLORS

A VIRTUAL RECIPE CARD -which includes: ALL CUTTING, COLOR and EMBELLISHMENTS

Fine Print- please read it all…it will only be once:

I hope to make this not only inspirational, but so easy and fun for you to collect!    There are NO rules when it comes to how you sketch out your card or what inks you use, and you can use ANY elements or ANY stamp sets to create the style you want.  All you have to do is stay within the cutting recipe and colors.  This is a wonderful way to build up a library of card recipes for you!  Even though I use Papertrey Ink colors and terms, you may use any supplies you wish, just stay within the color and cutting parameters!  Since this was actually my first video I ever made (even though you saw my bow tutorial one first,) I had some problems rigging my camera…so it is a bit shaky at times–ESPECIALLY in the beginning.  Don’t worry…it is fixed for later!  Also…sorry if the Melon Berry in the recipe card looks REALLY  pink.  Something happened in the processing…I am not quite sure what.   I will work out all of the kinks for next week.

****** UPLOAD YOUR CREATIONS VIA THE COMMENTS SECTION.  MR. LINKY HATES WORDPRESS :(   AlSO, PLEASE UPLOAD YOUR URL TO THE ACTUAL POST,  NOT YOUR BLOG OR GALLERY HOMEPAGE **********  I will feature my faves from the week previous every Tuesday!

My biggest challenge in designing a card is determining the measurements for the layers and getting the scale to a pleasing, balanced look. Thank you SO very much for providing this info — your work is always so beautiful!

  5. Carol R says:

  10. Ted says:

Beck, I love this challenge! :) And it was so fun to watch your video… although, I have to say what I most enjoyed was how calm you worked and how methodical. You and I are alike in that way… you just slowly cut the ribbon, and then cap the ink pad so calmly… lol I saw a lot of me in that video. ;) Question: If we don’t have the heart punch, is it okay to cut a diff. shape? :)

  11. Jeanne says:

Thanks for the video and the challenge! I hope to cut my recipe tomorrow and create. Sounds like great fun! You certainly inspire creativity!

  12. Diana says:

  24. My soon to be 4 year old went NUTS over the music — her ears pricked up, her face lit up and she was literally “bopping” in her seat eating her dinner. We had some totally silly time and listened over and over again. YouTube has a great video of it, too.

Thanks so much for this — and, oh yeah, we enjoyed the card, too ;^P

  25. Fun challenge. Will give it a go for my next card!

  26. Dana F. says:
