There are so many wonderful, sad, trying and celebratory times in our lives and when we go to make a card, sometimes we need to know where to go to find just the right thing to say and not to have to worry about it. There have been times where I need to make a quick birthday card for one of my friends or one of my kid’s friends, and times when I have to make a sudden and unexpected card for someone’s family who has experienced loss. When you only have a couple of minutes, you want those cards to be beautiful. Poster Board Sentiments, and Poster Board Sentiments Cut and Layering Files for the Silhouette will do just that. Make your card beautiful. With a stunning combination of fonts, I have designed a set that can be used on any type of card from trendy (like the card shown above), cute, modern or classic elegance. It just works.
Pairing Poster Board Sentiments up with Theresa Momber’s new set, The Northwoods, I created a watercolor rainbow background with my copics, and simply stamped using black ink. Matted on a bit of Black Onyx cardstock, this packs a visual punch with very little effort on the part of the stamper.
Included in this set is a long banner which is shown in the first card in this post. The banner is really great, because it can be used as it was designed for, or turned sideways to make horizontal stripes or even box bands. Also think of the points as arrows pointing in towards the label and sentiment! There are TONS of possibilities! Even cutting them shorter to make flying flags! Here is a nautical inspired card. I loved how this turned out, and it is quickly getting me in the mood for spring break! Don’t those Cherry Red buttons look great?!

Here I combined the two elements of the horizontal stripes on the Sage cardstock as well as the watercoloring with the copics. Using Melanie Meunchinger’s new set, A Year of Flowers 2, I tried my hand at using a watercolor technique which I really ended up loving doing, I think I just need a bit more practice! We clean and simple stampers tend to be scared of big and scary things like learning new ways to color!
