I have to say, friends, that I have not been able to put this stamp set down since I got it. Folk Filigree will be a stamp set you will fall in love with at first press. *sigh*. The endless combinations and soft beautiful cards you can achieve with this set takes you back to a bygone era, and if you are anything like me, you will love the nostalgia and sentiment behind these images.

I had a technique that I kept coming back to again and again with this set, and that was stamping off. Since the flowers in this set can be two step stamps, I kept coming back to the softer side of the base image and loved it. What I didn’t love was trying every single color to try and get it perfect, so I came up with a wonderful way to catalogue your ink and stamp offs in my video for you today. But first, the cards! Folk Filigree- Save the Date-1

The base of these flowers as well as the leaves and heart are all stamped off once. Isn’t it so beautiful? I added lines to the banner with a colored pencil and the rest of the bits are colored with copics.

Folk Filigree- Thanks a Bunch (1 of 1)-1

The second card I have today is all stamped off, even the centers of the flower have been stamped off using Tomato Soup ink. The stamping off also really helps on solid banners. It gives the sentiment (the only thing on the card that is not stamped off) a place to shine!  Here is my organizational tip and fun project for today!

Now go see what the other illustrators have in store for you!
